Having stayed in stavanger for these six months, it has become part of me. I have been involved in many things but mainly working with students at St.Olav,Hinna Skole, Kongsgård, st. svithun, University of Stavanger. I have also worked with the church youth Groups like Hillchill, and Fredheim.In all these I have been able to meet young people whose desire to know more about God has really impacted my life and created a hunger in me as well to love Him more and make Him Known.
But now the six months are over and I have to leave stavanger, oh I thouhgt about this company of friends that had become part of me, most of them it was now the time that i was begining to know them better and they were begining to open up and share their lives with me,to some they had began to share their free time with me and this is something am going to miss,others were begining to understand why I did all the things that I did with them, I mean the non Christians.. so leaving Stavanger at this point of time is a thing that if I had a choice i would not do!
But the fact that its our God who sets times and seasons, I embrace it as another season!...to be continued.

Febuary With God of Old Testament.

Febuary is a short months as many of know and although I knew this fact I never wanted it to go soon. But still it did, and all I can remember was that it was in this months that Stavanger recorded the Highest snow record since the 1940,s.
It was this months that Laget Office did its First Leadership Training in which over 30 young leaders were equiped with skills in Leadership.
It was this months that I saw God working in my life, challenging me to love him everyday than I have ever did, It was this month that had reflections in my life which i Think were from God, But first that Jesus was the best sacrifice that God could ever give which could substitute all the sacricifies that were, After reading the book of Lecticus I felt that Aaron and his sons had a bigger task and duty to do which non of our priests today would not carry, that is being in Gods presence morning-evening Everyday to interceed for a community of people who despite seeing the Hand of God remained to be Admant before their Leaders.
Secondly this months brought a thing in my life that i have never thought about,i.e thought about christianity and God, I thought about life of Christians today and then reflected about the God of Old Testament or we can call Him God of the Bible.
Then I realised that some of Us today we live just 'Organised lives' with in the Christian community where we avoid the 'Don'ts' and do the 'Do's' that the christian community sets for us. Then end result is that many people live in the Christianity community but without a relationship to the God of the Bible. I felt there is a need for me to live in fear of this God of the Old Testament who never entertained any uncleaniness or sin rather than living an 'oragainsed life' in the Church. Organised lives frustrates because I think its a life of Pretense,its living a pleasing life, where we are inclined to think that we can win Gods favour by our Good works and by our Do's. Think through your life also because I thought about Mine!.

The New year so far!!

The year so far is good and promising the best, am still stick to my resolutions and focused, the student ministry is exciting and I enjoy every day that passes as if if it was my last day on plannet. I desire to grow in the Knowldge of his word every day and I feel empty of Him every day. I long to see my 'bucket' full of Him. Stavanger is now like my home town Ibanda, I have friends who are concerned with what is going on in my life and this has kept me Focused even when it has been Cold I have found warmth in them andencouragement in the Lord.
Working among the students I now feel is the best that one can offer to the nation.
One student transformed is a nation transformed. This is my passion that keeps me going even when the odds show up,I rejoice and glory in the hope that one student will be transformed.. I am now in the school of Leviticus, and happy about what am learning there,the school has helped me understand why christ came, poor Aaron and his Sons they paid a big price for the nation of Israel.
Every time I feel slackness in doing Gods work I will always think of Aaron and his sons who offered sacrifices in Gods presence Morning evening everyday yet without getting tired. Am still pressing on to this year like Paul,pressing on to the Goal.

Impulse 2010

It was as big as Commisson Kenya and about 2500 people attended majority teneegers.
On they first night close to one hundred young people gave their lives to JESUS CHRIST. Impulse 2010 was under theme 'En Større Historie' that is One Big History.
The organisation was people friendly, all groups of people were there to make sure the spiritual needs of people were meet. Prayer, worship, exbition,seminars, were among other things thatImpulse offered. The High for Me was a sharing which was translated for me and the preacher,christopher shared his spiritual state as a young man as he wondered which denomination was right. he used this as an excuse not to be a christian. Using Mathew 22, he said many of us like pharasees at jesus' time know what is right but still we testing Jesus. His sharing, caused emotional tears among young people as I watched many embracing each other and crying! after the sharing.
Many stood in a que crying waiting to be prayed for, indeed Gods presence visited the young people.Not to be forgotten was the social reaction of the Teeneger! they offered clothes to help people that dont have and wrote to the Government( 2500 letter!) sugguesting that Norway should increase its donations to help other poor countries. Letters were collected and every week about 5letters are to be sent to the Government.

My Skieing Experience

It was on 15th Jan and we travelled to the south to a place called Lilleland, I had always had about skieing, this time I was looking forward to an experience.
Where we wewe to skie,it was a mountain and snowing,the day after we travelled to Sinness,which is about two lilland.I had always heard a phrase that Norwegians are born with skies on their feet. So I proved this when they told me to put on my skies, for it was time to skie. It was hard for me to do til someone well wisher assisted me. They asked me whether i wanted to go for cross country skieing or downhill but i didnt know the difference, i was their to follow they majority. so we went for cross country. it was easy at first on a flat scape until when we got to gentlesloping and climbing scapes that skieing became what it is. After about 3 hours of skieing, i still needed more one more hour to skie.
To cut the story short, i fall on slopes as i couldnot maintain the balance, the hills were hard to climb with skies on my feet!!
I strained my leg and for about a week i had to give up puting on shoes( in winter!) but those who asked me how was skieing i always said it was fun.

I was from work very tired and reaching home I found Finn my collegue in the aprtment at home,Realising i was abit hungry he offered me slimps! aaha i laughed at him because i vowed to him that i will never eat slimps,and just as he can not eat grasshopper! He then sugguested that we cook a meal together and he said he had whale meat. I have never eaten whale meat before so i was curious to taste it.
off we go we prepared it,in a soup and served it with bread.
Ahaa, it look delious in my eyes so i filled my bowl, i took aspoon and i chewed the piece of a whale!!! my face turned and Finn asked whether I liked food. Because am an African, polite and never offending i Replied that i liked the food but I wasn't!
Testing slimps would be better than eating a whale meat I guess.

This is a camp held every year by Laget and this year it was again at Hald in Mandal.
About 45 teenagers turned up for the Camp and about 10 leaders.
The Camp was a good opportunity again to see and learn from the teenagers. I facilitad a workshop the Taste of Uganda. We did alot games, danced and Quiz and showed Video Clips about Uganda. We went to Kristiansund for a day and there too we did alot of games even ones hard to do!! like a competion to hug strangers or mobilise strangers for a picture shoot.
Then came the newyear,there was fireworks everywhere from first hour,then second hour til midnight.

Its another year that the lord has granted to us to live. aaaha I know many are the new years resolutions!! but Resolutions about God should be included in our years plans this year. We need to think of KINGDOM plans this year and persue them seriously. Thats me this year.
Other things will come later or I will emback on them another year but not this year.
2010....aaaha its a year of God. I have heard yet what men of God say about this year but I feel with in me that it goona be a blessing to those who will persue Gods purpose.

Snowed Stavanger

The weather predictions two days before was that it was going to snow, though we were in Negative degrees it could not get in to my head that stavanger could be full of snow. With Matt a brazilian Pal we decided to neglect what was being said about'slippery rocks' 'you cant doit' and so on we were determined to hike Kjerag.
On the morning of this eventful trip, I walk up excited feeling in the moods of Hiking, I decided to open my window cartens as my daily habit to open for fresh morning air. Outside, drops were falling down! what it was snowing.. oh.
What happens when you neglect the truth, the truth can not be crushed. I never hiked but walked in snow outside my apartment.

What is Christmas!!

Many people are moving up and down, doing what? buying gifts to their loved ones, Families having saving and are saving Chuncks of money, here the government grants a free tax months to all workers so as to increase their pocket for Christmas.
I know in my Village its the same, at least every family now has something kept to buy meat on 24th Dec. All the streets here are giltering with Lights, all the shops and every business at least has in stock something labeled 'jule' which means Christmas. Gift shops are recieving alot of people coming in at this time than never before,dress shops are flocked with people,woooe, I know now in Uganda you have to pay a fortune to go to Ibanda district where am born!!!.
What is more amazing is the fact than all people are involved, those that read the Bible and go to church, those that are devoted to christian doctrine and those that dilute it! the Believer in Christ and those that never believe in any thing! they are all cought up in this atmosphere!!!. Whats so amazing about christmas, what is it all about, where did it originate, for whom is it commemorated???
Philosphers and thinkers of our generation, I know you can give me answers, am naive about this whole thing that is driving the nations at this particulary time. who is behind it!!!

I Saw It!!

It was white,foamlike,milklike in colour and it was very cold. When I asked I was told its called Snow!! Oh! I was in Oslo and all roads,houses, tree branches were covered by this thing called snow, it was beautiful to see.
though cold I enjoyed walking in it. Aleast I have to admit that I have never seen it before. Dont laugh! You too may have never seen it!

This weekend I sat at the feet of leaders and I listened with an open ear how they've made it. One thing was common in all,they have paid the price that is taged to the leadership sleve. Bill Hybels,Gary Hamel, Dave Gibbons, Jessica Jackley, Wess Stafford,Tim Keller,Bono were my teachers. Indeed like Jesus, they had 'good words'.
I was challenged to open my eyes and see the misfits in my society,to look at the spiritual deadness in the church and be provide presciptions,to act now for the future and to believe God to do great things in our day,

To day was the interesting day in Stavanger, I woke up when it was raining and I had to go in rain to work!. At four I had to leave to go home, looking outside it was raining and dark.I realised buses go on time,rushed to the bus station I was one minute late and the bus had left. Its raining and very cold, I schedule read the next bus is coming in next five minutes. I decided to wait it will be prompt, but it did turn out that way, it came fifteen minutes late!! Disappointed, why should it leave me when am one minute late and expect me to wait fifteen minutes in rain and coldness!!, dEAR mummmmmm!

Just as Pork is a favourite meat for Ugandans, Lamb is the best food your Norwegian Friend can offer to you when you pay a visit. Unlike pork where you fray or roast, lamb is prepared in a such a way that you prepare ugandan Luwombo. Mixed with so many spices...Man it is delicious. Any way it was prepared by a computer Engineer and he is my contact person! guess who...( Torstein)!!!

This weekend Dennis had a nice time with High school students. I was excited to see young people with a burning passion for christ organise things and they happen.

I had fun with thisgeneration and did all childish games and songs!!! There is this specific one called' KUMUSA KUMUSA'!!!.you had to be a good dancer to stay in the game! I was reminded of my high days,and the feelings then!!

Today I attended this Fellowship at University and its for International Students
in this campus interacting with Norwegian students. Coffee is served and there is a quiz and eight winners get a ticket to see a Movie in Cinema hall in town.
Todays quiz was a bout the football game and Peter and I were among the luck eight.
So friends tonight we are out with students to Watch this MOVIE. Dont bug my door tonight coz am not at home!!

I have always been sober,but Stavanger...aahaa.., I had these visitas from my school to visit me but I did know my way home! I travel by bus to town and am not yet familiar with these streets and map reading things..heeem. But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph.. Indeed God leads steps of a righteous man. somehow I just said drive here,then there and finally I got to see RAMA 1000 where I bought food two days ago!!! Bravo Rama 1000!!!

Today in my Class the Teacher Asked the Question,What do you see as a need in your home Country? Immediately my mind run to Environment and vividly I could see the Polythene bags and empty water bottles in the Streets of my home country, even the capital! But our ministers at least have traveled more than I have, don't they see how clean other towns are? Why cant we borrow a leaf from these countries. Who would you nominate as ' least likely to become a christian' afundamentalist muslim from Iraq? adrug addict or a hardened,hate-filled Criminal. Most of us have stereotype of who is-and is not a candidate for christianity. If you are among these you better think again!

Cornelius a Roman soldier was viewed as least likely to be a christian but God through his supernatural means brought him together with Peter 'the man of God' to bring salvation to the Greeks. Who in you view is least likely to be a christian? Do you really know what goes on underneath the surface, or are you making assumptions. Acts10.1..

The man dies complaining that he is not gifted yet his Maker looks at him return with abilities which were not put to use. Honest and integrty is in this city. No one will ask you for money when you enter the train or buses. they know you have paid.
Vigland park is a place that take the attention of new people in Oslo. Its decorated with crafts of naked human body, the artist had a message he wanted to but a cross. Many of these pieces are men fighting fellow men, man and woman in affair, Kids crying and men strugling to climb to the highest point of life. Was he pointing to Capitalism of his day,Immorality, effects of world war two-what.

Discovering Your Spiritual Gift

The issue of spiritual Gift is so interesting because Every Teacher of the Word has his own Interpretation of Paul's message. 1cor.12. But what ever the case God gives gifts as He pleases.
Discovering about your spiritual gift can never be a guess work, its only through Prayer and seeking God that we can come to this Realization. Read books and other helps but still these will point us to this seeking and encourage us, we can never discover our selves using formulas and gamble.

Pain and Sufering

The day began with lessons in sports and later in the day we tackled the most diffecult questions of life, where is God when it hurts.his Many people fear pain and in most cases it us to ask questions. what ever the questions we may have pain is in the world because mankind made and makes choice.
Iagree with Phillp Yancy,God uses pain and suffering as his Mega phone in the earth.
As we discused this question I realised that indeed many people have deeper wounds at heart and need apat on the pat on the shoulder.
